Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch (Oct. 23, 1960 - July 25, 2008) gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving presentation, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. Sorry partyplanpat, check yr facts before making claims about Lewis's beliefs. Lewis's conversion occured in 1928, & his wife died in 1960, 4 yrs after they were married. In fact, she began writing to him because she was also a convert to Christianity and had read his work. I'm a skeptic about deathbed/jailhouse conversions b/c declarations of faith R not same as actions based on faith(charity, humility, sacrifice, tolerance,etc)Atheists are just as capable of ethical behavior as Christians

Well done. Afterwards, if I think about what Randy had been telling me for the last hour I find it hard to say. But I know whatever it was, it tought me alot and makes we want to live my life, use what I have been given and share it with others.

My dad has cancer and he reads the last lecture every night. He is motivated by the way randy handled his illness. I am very happy his kids will have their dad's legacy packed up in an hour lecture. Rest in Peace, and randy, you gave your wife and kids so much in just a few years and some people don't influence themselves even in an entire lifetime. Great Job!!!

lol...can i say that this was my goal, that i watched a tv show out of boredom last year and made it a point to read a specific book?!? and when i read that book, that i was compelled to watch a video and it brought me to this point...i was blown away...can it be that simple...i was sad to hear his passing...but to hear his "passing on..."lol...made my life worthwhile...i cried so hard...for being grateful... :)
